I made these rolls just the other day and honestly thought they were bland. I couldn't really taste the mayo, it mostly acted to make the rolls have the texture of biscuits. I made them a second time and added a little salt and brushed butter on top before putting them in the oven but still they were just as bland. The best thing about them I thought was that they were super quick and easy, but that doesn't really make up for taste for me!

The rolls were fast to make and tasted wonderful. However, the cooking time for this recipe, did not work for me. It really depends on the oven being used. I had to add another 15 minutes to the cooking time.

SUPER easy to whip up! However, I didn't have self-rising flour, so I added 3 teaspoons of baking power and 1 teaspoon of salt. Still, super easy. I threw them in the oven and then started reading the reviews! That's when I panicked! I baked them for 15 minute and didn't achieve the light brown tops. I lifted one up after 15 minutes and saw that it was light brown and pulled them out of the oven. I then sampled one a few minutes later and was SO pleased. I don't know what I was worried about!
I will for sure make these again. Just as the recipe says, and I might do the substitute for self-rising flour, I was that happy.

I wouldnt consider them rolls but I would consider them good bicuits. Maybe with a little gravy they would make a great breakfast!

It is just my husband and my self so I made 1/2 recipe. They were great!! After the first time I now make them when the whole family is here . At a spur of a moment you can whip them up.

I might make these again -- the teenage boys at the Thanksgiving table ate them. But then again, what didn't they eat?

IF I try this recipe again, I would blend all the liquid ingredients together and add them to the pre-shifted dry stuff. (Not they way the recipe reads. It is really a challenge to mix everything adequately and not create building mortar.

And then maybe the teenage boys wouldn't be tempted to THROW the rolls before they ate them! (It was quite a party!

So glad I looked at all your comments first. I made the following changes or additions: ADD 2 T cold butter, and 1/4 cup shredded cheese, EXTRA 1/4 t baking powder & 1/4 t salt (self-rising flour contains baking powder & salt. CHANGE to 3 T mayo & 1 T sour cream. Baked for 25 min. Rolls were perfect & still easy, however I could't have done it without the rest of you reviewers ~ so 4 stars. Thanks!
