Just a suggestion--I have made these little baskets for years. I reall nice presentation is an egg, poached in water properly with the yolk set served in thse cups. Add a little crumbled bacon, sausage, pacetta to the cups first if youd like (or shredded or crumbled cheese. Chopped parsley to garnish. CHeers.

Its a simple recipe but when it came to make the nests it was a little time consuming. Its a nice treat and looks super pretty but if you want it for more an everyday or every sunday breakfast you can skip the nest part and just eat the eggs. Also I took the left over butter garlic from the dough and threw it in the eggs. The hint of garlic was very yummy. If you want some heat I would recommend salsa or tabasco.

My 16 year old daughter made this for me on Mother's Day and it was a "hit" with our family. Easy and delicious.

if you don't want to heat up your kitchen by turning the oven buy agood pane italian bread from your deli. slice one inch thick and remove the centers leaving a nice sized edge. when the eggs are almost done put the slices on a buttered griddle and fill with eggs. flip when lightly brown. when done garnish with chopped parsley. still looks good and tastes great.
