This was the best chili recipe I've tried in a long time!!!!! I was a little pressed for time so I used regular canned biscuits and a package if chili seasonings. IT TURNED OUT GREAT!!!!!!! THANKS PAULA!!!!!!!

not as spicy as id hoped, but the flavor was GREAT! just made a huge batch last night for some of my friends. I made this chili at our pumpkin carving party in honor of my gma. She used to make chili every halloween before we went trick or treating. thanks paula for helping me bring back a tradition, that i will use again and again. every october!

Absolutely delicious! I make chili from the packet often because it is quick and very filling. It's a classic dinner that everyone in my family loves to eat in the winter. I tried this recipe and it won everyone over. Very simple and quick, just like the packet! :

I've made the bowls several times. These are tasty. To Elaine Renee 64; you mentioned there was no room for the chili in the bowls and that they came out just like biscuits. Did you try to make the bowls in the inside of the muffin cups? You also mentioned using Pillsbury refrigerated dough in the muffin cups and filling with chili before baking. This particular recipe has you putting the biscuit bowl dough on the outside of the muffin cups, not the inside. Give this recipe another chance. You won't be disappointed. I think this may be tonight's supper.

Something is wrong with the the biscuit part of this recipe. By the time you make these bowls and bake them, they turn into full blown biscuits with no room to fill with chili. And even if there was room - they would be more like an appetizer. I have made a similar recipe using Pillsbury refrigerated dough in the muffin cups, fill with the mixture & then bake - they turned out much better.

Biscuit bowls are great and fun to make! I added a few extras to the chili I used chili beans, kidney beans and northern white beans. I used 2 cans tomato sauce (I doubled the recipe because I have a family of 6 plus always some extra "adopted" kids for dinner. plus added a little of the cayenne pepper to the chili itself as we eat EVERYTHING spicy.

We liked the chili OK. But loved the biscuit bowls Next time we are trying them with cornbread bowls (even though the biscuit was really good and with regular tomatoes since we were're huge fans of the stewed.

please don't call everything with a little chili powder CHILI. 5 Alarm? How can I believe anything you say? False Alarm in every respect, bland and uninspired.
