Great and easy I love them BUT am I the only one who noticed the error in the recipe ingredients!!! what the heck is "1 jar 5 bar cookie mix"
I watched the video and wrote down what Paula said. someone should correct the recipe. for the correct recipe just do a search for "five layer bars" and choose the one that states for food network magazine.

I am not a baker so when I saw this recipe on TV I was game to give it a shot. Looked delicious and easy. Well it was easy and they are delicious, however the yield of bars is completely off.
Yield states 30 bars - unfortunately, when I cut into them my batch only yielded 16. Normally, not a big deal but when you are scheduled to attend a cookie swap and decide to cut into them 15 minutes before the swap begins it poses a real problem. I learned my lesson!

This recipe is delicious and incredibly easy. Note, however, that the amount of graham cracker crumbs listed will NOT be enough to adequately cover a 9x13 pan. I had to press it out so it was paper thin, which makes the bars fall apart when you try to pick them up. Next time I will double the graham cracker/butter crust ingredients to make a more substantial crust.
