    I made this for Thanksgiving and everyone wanted the recipe. My family does not like coconut so substituted candied ginger, Turned out very nice.

    Made these bars for Thanksgiving, very easy to make and they were a big hit!! Also, made one batch without nuts, just added toffee and it was very popular!

    I didn't read the reviews. I followed the video. That was stupid! They came out horribly cause I couldn't get them out of the pan and it took forever for it to even cook semi through. So, I had to leave them at home, I was planning on bringing them to Thanksgiving dinner. Even though they taste good, they look really bad. The bottom crust is just mush. Next time I'll be sure to read the reviews.

    I make these with Reese's peanut butter chips and chocolate chips. I definitely use the pecans and the coconut. They are wonderful and everyone I know wants me to make them for them. I try to tell them how easy they are to make but they still bother me for them.

    Made these bars for the Holidays. They are simple and quick to make.
    My family and friends cannot get enough of them. They haven't stopped asking for more since the first batch. Delicious!!!

    Made these and they were delicious and so easy to make. I used two cups of milk chocolate chips and would recommend using a little more graham cracker.

    these five layer bars were fabulous! one sugestion though is to cut all of the chocolate measurements in half and if you're not a big coconut fan they would taste just as good without it! ;

    I made these and put them in my holiday goodie boxes for family and friends. They seemed to be everyone's favorite. My grandson even said they were equal to his favorite candy--double decker fudge--and even tasted similar with the caramel and chocolate.

    I didn't have time to read the other reviews, but I wish I had!! I'm taking the bars to a potluck, but they look embarrassingly awful, but they taste pretty good. Getting them out of the pan was near impossible. Since I've only made the recipe once, I'm not totally sure, but I think greasing the pan really well would help, and halving the condensed milk (the milk burned around the edges a bit and became impossible to cut through.

    It is very annoying when the recipe does not match the video. Paula says in the video to use two sticks of butter, the recipe calls for one, and in the video she uses two cups of chocolate chips and the recipe says one cup. I'm also pretty sure the 1.5 cups of graham crackers the recipe calls for is not correct. I followed the recipe exactly, and the "bars: did not come out like the ones in the video did, the crust was very thin, could barely stretch it across the pan, and it was also very greasy and wet. The "bars" did not stay together at all and just crumbled apart. The flavor isn't bad but I was going to bring these to a family dinner as the desert and they really aren't serveable. Wish food network or Paula Deen would figure out the actual recipe.
