I love these cookie bars. They are perfect for those moments when you want something really rich but don't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen.I am one that requires all desserts to be homemade not store bought & this recipe makes lets me enjoy the best of both worlds. HOMEMADE & EASY.

Made it to take over to my brother's for his birthday. It was so easy and rich. If I need to take something to a potluck I will make this.

I couldn't find butterscotch chips at the grocery store, so I used peanut butter chips instead. I love this recipe. It is sooo good!!

I love these bars. My mom used to always make them for holidays and get togethers. They are super easy and always a big hit.

Paula can do no wrong! Whatever she makes, you are guaranteed it will be incredible and people will think you have spent so much time killing yourself in the kitchen. Shh.. it's our secret. Thank you Paula! You are a Goddess!

I cut the recipe in half and put in a
8 x 8 dish. This was great even though I overbaked a little. Everyone love it. Cut into small pieces because it is rich.

This is a very easy recipe, and it does taste good but the bottom crust didn't bake. Next time I may try to prebake the bottom layer before I finish the recipe. Very rich!

My grandma taught me how to make these (well, layered slightly differently and with walnuts instead of pecans. They are probably one of the most delicious treats I've ever eaten. Sure, they do their part in keeping cardiologists employeed, but if your going to go overboard on a dessert, this is the one to pick.

I remember as a little girl many many years ago....my mom would make this in a bundt pan. This was always for a special occasion. Thanks for the wonderful recipe Paula. I also love your Buttermilk Cornbread recipe in the September 23005 issue of Guideposts
