To Reds Rage: They should have written "1 jar for 5 layer mix". If you read the first part of the recipe, you are not buying it, you are making it. Hope this helps.

This is my very first review and the second recipe I make following Paula's recipes. This is easy (very much so to make. My younger sister is learning how to bake (she's 21 but afraid of baking so this is a wonderful new experience and we made this tonight.
I modified this recipe a little bit adding orange peel mixed with some dry peaches fine chopped. The taste is OH! so delicious and complex. It has a nice turn. I added about 1/4 of cup per each. Also, at the end I melted some dark chocolate and drizzled on top.
Hope this modification can help when trying this recipe again or when making it for the very first time. Enjoy making this :

These were very tasty, but not worth the hassle! I had such a hard time getting them out of the pan, and they all fell apart when I finally did. When they were warm, too gooey so after letting them sit and cool, they were too hard and I couldn't get them out.

So delicious and sooo easy to make! I took them to a Christmas party, and they were the first dessert to disappear. A definite go to recipe! Paula hit one out of the park with this one. :

These cookies are FANTASTIC! I will be making them for my family's annual cookie exchange for the third year in a row because of how delicious they are. I always get multiple people gushing about how good they are and begging me for the recipe and demanding that I make them again next year. They don't have to know how insanely easy they are to make! I love them just the way they are and wouldn't change a thing. Just to keep in mind though- they are very rich so don't cut them too big. I make about an inch and half long rectangle bars and they seem to be just the right size. Definetly make these, they are awesome! Oh and they freeze great too!

I made these last year and they were super easy to make and very yummy. They are pretty sweet - but it's okay - just limit yourself ;

I made these to give to friends and neighbors as part of an assortment of cookies for the holidays last year. Far and away, these were the crowd favorite!
I decided this year, I'm just making these. They are so easy, and they are so unbelievabley delicious! I will save myself a ton of time, and make everyone happy! Thanks Paula!
