This desert is very sweet and would mostly appeal to a crowed who loves very chocolate and sweet deserts. I recommend using peanut butter chips!

They're great....I've been making them for years, but my recipe calls these 7 layer bars and I found it in a book of Christmas cookies that is over 20 yrs old....the graham crackers & butter count as a layer each. I also use 1 cup of chopped pecans OR walnuts!

These are a classic and always a big hit. Not to mention completely addictive. The only people that will not like these are those that don't like coconut. But they are so good.

These were great! I used what I had here and everyone loved them. So easy to make. I've gone to the store to pick up the right ingredients to make these. I like the fact that you can substitute and the bars end up tasting great! byocwthoo - be your own chef with the help of others. Thanks Paula for another great recipe!

I loved this desert, it is super rich so you only need a small piece to satisfy your sweet tooth, great to share with nieghbors! I used chocolate, white choco and butterscotch chips and walnut instead of pecans, you can really personalize this one, great!

I have always made the original "Magic Bars" recipe, but saw Paula's twist and decided to give it a try. The butterscotch chips really add a nice dimension to the recipe. They are still quite good even after three days in an airtight container on the counter. In other words, they keep well.
My only advice would be to check them after 25 minutes - I did 30 minutes as the recipe suggests and the outer edges were just a bit too done. They are still delicious however.
Paula hits another home run. The "Lady" is amazing!

These were so good and easy. I wanted to make a quick desert for lunches and saw these and thought I would try them. They were so incredibly easy and delicious. I took some to other family members, just because it made so much and we don't eat a lot of sweets. Not one person didn't like them. This is a go to recipe over an over.
