Perfect! I followed exactly and it was truly foolproof! My roast was smaller (5 lbs. and hubby likes RARE so I pulled at 35 minutes on the second heating. It was absolute perfection - I'll never fear Standing Rib Roast again! Thank you Paula!

This Rib Roast was absolutely the best ever. I had a 9lb roast so wasn't sure on exact time but accidentally left in 10 minutes longer initially and then when turning back on cooked about another 30 as the temp gauge (which is old said it was 120 degrees. It turned out just perfect. Thanks Paula for another great , EASY, recipe. You are the greatest. XXOO

My mom made this for Christmas dinner and it came out perfectly! Medium rare in the center and medium further out. The roast had a delicious crust. It was moist perfection! This recipe is a MUST.

Have been making this recipe for YEARS. Has never failed, not once, no matter the size of your roast---don't complicate things. Follow the instructions---NO PEEKING IN THE OVEN-- and you will be delighted!!!

I had a 7.5 lb standing rib roast and at first I thought I would have to adjust the times in the oven. But, after I read a lot of the reviews I decided to stick with the same times she used for the 5 lb roast. Several stated that they used the same time with even 14 lb roasts. I followed the recipe exactly and it came out PERFECT. The size of the roast apparently holds sufficient heat to heat it medium rare throughout. Like others I was dying to open the oven and I threatened my husband with death if he opened it. Finally, I just went and took a nap. What a fantastic recipe. Thanks Paula.

It really is foolproof. I'm a beginner cook and I found it very easy to understand and follow the recipe. The meat was cooked perfectly and it tasted great, too. I definitely will make this again.
