Do it every year. Love it! However, this year we had a 13 # roast...needed a bit more time.

I've used this recipe for every standing rib roast I've made since I dicovered the recipe a few years ago. I panicked this morning (Christmas Day because I could'nt find it.Since I was not willing to try any other recipe,I went onto to the food network and to my delight found Paulas recipe again!!! This is the easiest most delicious recipe ever.I use my own spices,my guests love it!I is so helpful that you can put it in the oven and forget it!(less stress Thank you,Thank you!!

Oh my gosh!!! This was amazing! I pretty much followed to a T, except added a extra "house seasoning" and since we were at Christmas eve service at our church, it stayed in the "turned off" oven a little longer than 3 hours. When we got home, we heated the roast up again for about 20 minutes and then let it sit with a covering of foil overtop for another 20 minutes. When we sliced it, it was about medium rare most of the way through... perfect!!! So tender and flavorful!!! Yumm!!!! Thanks Paula!!!

It turned out amazing. I had never made a rib roast before and was worried. Turned out a perfect med-rare.

I've done this recipe for the last 2 years for Christmas Eve. What a treat. I also place garlic slivers in the roast as well as the garlic in the house seasoning. Wow what a yummy meal before Santa comes!

This is the absolute best... easy and, indeed, foolproof. The beef is tender and tasty. I wouldn't try roasting any other way!

We have a family of meat-lovers, and this is by far the best prime rib anyone has ever tasted! I served it to my son's in-laws, and he is a food broker----loved it! Said it was they best they have ever tasted. We love this recipe! Nancy Olsen
