Paula Deen, your video upon making the "French Fries Recipe", is a true demonstration for those of us who-have-heard about preparing the potatoes this way - yet, I have never had the information on timing, baking, chilling, & finally producing hot, delicious the "Bengal Styled 'French Fries' & Onions, too". Way to post-it Paula Deen! Thank you!!! :-]

Tried these and they are really good. Did not use as much time though.

Have not made these, yet. Wondering, is there a step in the process that one could stop at in order to freeze them so as to use in a shorter time in the future?

I'm a retired Chef and I keep potatoes like this on hand as a short cut.
Grated for hash browns, fritters, home fries, quick mashed potatoes.
It's a good time saver.Try keeping a few on hand.

I absolutely loved these fries. I followed everything down to the last detail and they were the best fries I have ever had. If you want healthy, then why on earth are you making french fries, L? Stick to salads and leave our Paula Deen alone. She is really the only chef I enjoy watching on Food Network because she cooks the way "normal" people do and I love her for it. Keep up the good work, Paula!

These were yummy, only they were very time consuming... make sure that you don't cheat on the times... I did to make it go a little quicker, and mine weren't quite done all the way through

Actually, any Belgian will tell you these are BELGIAN fries. All other "french" fry recipes pale after you have once eaten these fries. They are a little trouble but worth every minute!! Thank you Paula

I had to rush and did not let them sit for 1-2 hours but they were still very good. The 2nd time I made them was not the same--I do not think I let the oil get hot enough ok but the first time was the best.
