i brought this to a potluck and not many people ate it, i think because they were confused as to what it was. nonetheless, i thought it was delicious. a word of warning: the recipe makes about twice as much dressing as you need. i put about 2/3 of the dressing on it and thought it looked too soupy.

My husband and I really enjoyed this tasteful, healthy salad. I added diced chicken breast, and it made for a very filling dinner. We will definitely be making this again.

Everyone knows that the dressing is one of the most important components of a salad. Albeit, this fruit salad itself is delicious, the dressing needed a little "umf" -- a little more acid. It's a good thing I tasted the dressing before putting it on the salad. For my taste, I added a little apple vinegar to the dressing and it gave it the kick that it needed. Also be advised that this salad should only be prepared just prior to serving. Advance preparation should not be considered. Although the lemon juice is poured over the fruit to keep it from browning, and the dressing is to poured on at the last minute, this salad should not be allowed to stand because the avocado and banana does turn a little brown, after all.

I LOVE Paula Deen but since I'm eating healthier these days I can't really use a lot of her recipes. When I saw her make this salad I thought I would give it a try. It was fabulous!!!! I've made it several times and switch the fruits. This was also my first time making salad dressing........I am forever hooked :-

This is delightful-- easy to make, versatile, nutritious, and wonderfully tasty. Simply yummy. I did find that shaking the jar was not sufficient and had to give a good couple of stirs to incorporate the honey thoroughly.

This was delicious and like dessert. My family liked it very much and a great way to eat a variety of fruit. I especially liked the dressing with the popy seeds! Pat, Ocala, FL

I needed a quick side dish with ingredients on hand, so my recipe varied from this one a little, but it was FABULOUS, and my family gushed over it. I didn't have to change the dressing recipe and loved it as is, but I didn't have avocado, raisins, or oranges. I added diced dried apricots and extra apple instead. I also didn't have poppy seeds but will get them for next time. As I made it, it was definitely a hit.
