Mary Jo- just a suggestion- if you don't feel like cleaning up after yourself just use cool whip instead of whipping the cream yourself. Omit the cup of whipping cream and 1/4 cup gran sugar. Another note: sometimes it's worth it to go the extra mile and clean an extra bowl, while cool whip will work, it is NOT the same. I am sure Paula doesn't have a "clean up crew" at home; or maybe her husband helps her. Any good cook knows where there is yummy food; there was a dirty dish or two.

I just made this with a few shortcuts. I used low fat cream cheese and Light Wipped Cream out of a can. I used my stand mixer to mix the cream cheese and powered suger, Then just added in the whip cream out of the can, suger, lemon and orange (i had no pineapple. So good!! Then I decided it didn't make enough so I did the same thing as above but used Masapone Cheese and cut down on the suger. Just as good!! cant wait to serve w fruit tomorrow.

I made this last night for a surprise party and it was a hit! This is definitely going into my recipe file.
I did change a few things. I didn't do the Fruit Tray, instead I made Fruit Kabobs with apples, grapes, strawberries and pineapple. I cut my apples and soaked them in the pineapple juice to prevent them from browning. And the other thing I did differently, I used Cool-whip instead of making my own whipped cream. Much faster and easier, but it still tasted amazing! Thanks Paula, love your recipes.

ok, I whipped up the cream cheese and powdered sugar. I had to scrap out my kitchenaid bowl, wash it, cool it ant then whip the cream. I am so tired of "chefs" who put out recipes that pretend that we all have someone to clean up after us. Paula, make your recipes in the real world. I don't want to wash several bowls, but you have people that do that for you, right? I would love to flit out of the kitchen after I cook, like you. However, I am a real cook and have to clean up after myself. This recipe can be modified to reduce the cleanup with no loss of flavor.

I made this dip with a little less sugar than recommended and it turned out great served with fresh strawberries and lemon bundt cake. This is a big recipe - it makes about 28 to 30 ounces. Next time, I will make half the amount.

This was wonderful. I made it for our family Christmas party and my mother in law was eating the dip in spoonfuls and not eating any fruit. When making this, add very little pineapple juice for the consistancy, it will get runny. Also, don't forget the lemon zest. It gives it that zip. My son said it takes like key lime pie. Hmm great idea to put in graham cracker crust but using limes, lime juice and limes zest.
