I tried the mousse and it wasnt very good. It was way too sweet and wasnt even a mousse, it was more like pudding. I would pass.

These were were really yummy! My family really loved them...I was also a little confused with the oil and vanilla ingredients...but you just prepare it how she has it written not by how the box has you prepare it...I think the size pan might be a little large, because when I made mine...they were really moist but on the edges they were too hard to serve. I think next time when I make them (this weekend I'll use a slightly smaller pan. Paula Dean always has such yummy recipies...this would be an awesome idea for a party!

is the oil eggs and vanilla additional to the brownie mix? Is that to make the brownie?

Great recipe!! Instead of making the mousse from scratch I used a base I purchased from Desserts Now. This dessert was a great hit with the family and will be used for years to come!!

These were a definite hit at our Christmas eve brunch. My sister hid half in her refridgerator for her own later. However, I have a lot of diabetic family members who could not enjoy these so next time I will make a batch with splenda or something. Little tip for anyone who has never whipped cream before; when the recipe says gently mix in the cherry mix she means gently, I started making butter and had to start all over. Fun to make and fun to eat.

Instead of cutting rounds and waisting part of the brownie...cook them in a cupcake pan to make the most of the batter..!!!

This was soo very good and so easy! I did have problems in that I did not chop the cherries fine enough, so they would plug up the frosting piping bag! So I just gave up and put a small dollop of the cherry mousse on top! Wow!! They are just plain naughty!! ;oD I used the Ghiradelli brownie mix we found at Costco. It took 3 of those packages within that big box (pkg contains 6 brownie mixes--not 1 like the recipe says! I mixed up 2 to start, but then added 1 more, which was perfect for the 1/2 sheet pan. (I used the recipe on the box, not her recipe Not sure why she put that 1 brownie mix would work for a 1/2 sheet pan!! The brownies would only be 1/4" thick if that and probably burned to a crisp! I will say that cutting the brownies into circles was NOT an easy thing! I'd recommend buying the mini muffin pans instead! That way you can use just one brownie mix! Just a thought...
