Ok so this recipe gets a little tedious but only when it comes to drying and crumbling the bread. Then it's fast and easy and sososoosososo worth it! I made it for a group of college friends and they all loved it : I made a few adjustments, added some red bell pepper which I think gave it a nice kick, and had to add about 3 more cups of stock than the recipe called for.

I found this recipe last year for my 2006 Holiday meals and of everything I cooked (which was a lot! this dish was commented over and over and people were returning for 3rds and 4ths!
This is the only stuffing I will be making from now on for my dinner party's and hopefully will become and family recipe.
Excellent!!!!

This recipe has become a new family tradition. My husband and I have made this Old Country Stuffing the past three years on Thanksgiving and Christmas day and it always goes! It has become a way for my husband and I to share. We make it together and everyone asks us every year if we are gonna make it again. Our response is always, "Oh heck yeah!" Thank you Paula

This is my new favorite stuffing. I made it last year and came back this year to reprint the recipe. I loved it!
Thanks Paula!

I made this for Thanksgiving last year, then for Christmas after my family begged me to make it again. It's all anyone has been talking about leading up to this Thanksgiving. You can ruin your turkey and it would be okay. As long as you have this stuffing no one will remember anything else.

the best stuffing, this was the first time I made home made stuffing and it came out perfect. The only issue the serving size was about 15-20 not 8-10 but no big deal excellent A+A+A+
