I have used this recipe for Thanksgiving for 3 years. My dad, who typically does not like stuffing really enjoys this recipe. It's very easy and virtually foolproof. Very, very good. A must try.

Been making this for years, and it's always a hit. Make sure you have a *very* large bowl, this won't fit int a standard mixing bowl until the stock gets absorbed. The recipe doesn't specify, you'll need a 13x9 baking dish for this recipe. I've also made a vegetarian version using veggie "sausage" and veggie broth and it's still delicious. I've thought about adding in some diced gruyere, maybe next time.

I have found my go-to stuffing recipe! This was easy and delicious. Many people at my Thanksgiving dinner who claimed to not like stuffing gobbled this up. The sausage really makes this stuffing, in my opinion. That unexpected burst of rich, meaty flavor adds a great dimension. This recipe is amazing!

I grew up with traditional, Betty Crocker Cookbook, in the bird stuffing. This is the ONLY dressing (out of the bird I have ever found that comes close. My fussy 17 year old boy just ASKED for THIS one again! Fantastic taste ... and if you're worried about the weirdness of rice, saltines, and sausage in you stuffing, don't be. When it's all done it's just a regular old stuffing! Thank you Paula!

I haven't made this stuffing yet. I will in a couple of days for Thanksgiving but i wanted to address to some of the people who have tried this recipe and the stuffing turned to mush. Remember if your not using rice in the dish then you dont need all that chicken stock. I think that might be the case in some of the dishes. Not sure just a thought. I will exclude the rice because my family doesnt need all the carbs. Have a Happy Thanksgiving

My dad kept asking for a stuffing that was like the one his mom made for Thanksgiving while he was growing up. I had tried others over the years and none of them were right until I found Paula's. This was the exact stuffing recipe I had been searching for. It is easy and delicious!!

I made this for the 2nd time, first for traditional Thanksgiving dinner, second time celebrating "Thanksgiving in August" at my nephew's house. This recipe is stellar! I had to make a few minor changes (no saltines or rice, reduced the chicken stock accordingly. This recipe is so wonderful, we will make it again as a casserole for dinner, adding a side salad & vegetable. If you're a "cornbread stuffing" person, this won't be your favorite but for us - it is our ONLY go to recipe for stuffing. The aroma while baking will induce hunger pangs & the enjoyment during dinner will bring huge "kudos" from the crowd. I strongly encourage you to try it. I am no longer in search of the perfect stuffing recipe AND it's simple to make. You'll be a hero! Thank you, Paula - we love, love, love you!
