i would recommend using ready-made stuffing breadcrumbs, instead of making them from oven-dried bread. i didn't have the time to dry out the white bread in the oven as thoroughly as it should have been, so my crumbs weren't crunchy enough. i ended up with a mushy, though tasty, stuffing.

This one is unique, with the rice & saltines, yet just great! To those ladies (and gents who've had problems, here's a few suggestions/ideas!???**** FIRST! If your spices are over 1 yr old, you need NEW ONES! Also, all ingredients, must be fresh, but, Super Fresh! There is a reason that Pepperidge Farm Bread, is called for! It's simply the BEST, the VERY BEST ON THE MARKET!! All the vegies and seasonings must likewise be the freshest possible!! Then, you must eyeball the Chicken Stock as you add it. People living in differing climates will need more or LESS!. Please believe me, I mean NO OFFENSE to any one at all! I reckon it just comes down to plain old COMMON SENSE***!!!************************what do y'all think??? These are only my thoughts! I may be wrong, or right! But, I will be praying for every one, these Holidays!!!! We can that it be easy, If we want to !******** All the best, to l every one out there and Best Holidays to y'all! From, Tucson, AZ

I made this last year for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it!! I'm definitely making it again this year. The only thing I would change is putting a little less rice in it. Other than that, you can't beat it!!

Paula Dean has some of the greatest recipes and this is one of them. I wouldnt change a thing,it has become the only stuffing I will make from now on. makes alot and for a smaller gathering I just cut the recipe in half and still had plenty for everyone.
