    When I made this for a Church picnic, it left within minutes. This recipe is so easy to make, and you will get alot of great comments. One of my co-workers said that it taste like Christmas. I don't know what it means but she loved it.

    I have had gooey butter cake all my life growing up in St. Louis and this has now become one of my absolute favorites! The toffee gave it a little crunch and extra sweetness. Dont' be afraid to take it out of the oven if it seems done to you. It is much better a little more gooey than overbaked. Thanks Paula for giving me another reason to make this fabulous cake!
