I recently took this cake to a block party. The cake was gone before the meat was finished cooking! This is a wonderful, decadent treat. Very rich. Please note: Our local police force was particularly taken with this recipe.

Paula did it again! This is a delicious dessert that's fun and easy to make. I got a ton of compliments on this recipe when I made it for my friends at work.

I'm a southern girl myself so I don't frown when I see this much butter and sugar in a recipe. I made it for Christmas and it was marvelous! My friends and family ate the whole thing and loved it!!!!! GO Paula!!!

After reading all the high ratings for this recipe, I had to give it a try. It was easy enough to make, and I tried tasting it this morning, and it was just alright. It wasn't the best thing that I have ever had and I really don't think my 4th of July crowd will be going crazy asking for the recipe. Some comments were way overexaggerated...or maybe they don't ever get treats. It's good...it's worth making...but don't expect an absolutely wonderful new family recipe.

I made this the first time last 4th of July. I keep getting asked to make it again and again. It is so easy and so good. Be sure to cut the portions very small as they are very rich. Watch your cooking times and remove when the center is still a little loose.Sometimes I use both toffee pieces and chocolate chips. Or you can use broken up pieces of Heath Bars.

This is the second time I've made twice and it has been a hit both times. I use a whole bag of Heath chocolate toffee bits for the 1 cup of toffee chips and it turns out wonderfully! I've made several of Paula Deen's cakes and have never had one that was not liked! A+

This recipe tasted great! The only problem I had was waiting for it to cook evenly (and having to wait to eat it!. Paula is just amazing, and she proved to me that butter is a REALLY good ingredient to use when adding flavor t dishes, especially cakes.
