There were way too many nuts on this for my taste. I liked the cream cheese in it, but husband and sons did not.

I followed the recipe. My husband liked it, but didn't care if he ever ate it again. I didn't like it... I didn't like the cream cheese in it. I would have liked it better plain.

Years ago, on a vacation to Acapulco, my husband and I were served these amazing rolls with a nugget of cream cheese tucked inside. I love this recipe for Gorilla Bread, because it's a sweet twist on that dish, which stuck out in my memory. Monkey Bread is great to start with - what's not to love about bits of chewy bread surrounded by crunchy, caramelized cinnamon sugar and soaked in a buttery glaze? Paula's version, which adds cream cheese to the middle of the dough, is perfect. The creamy tang of the cheese balances out the sweetness nicely.

Yum! This was delicious and I would make it when friends come to visit. Another of our favorites from Paula is the Granite City Coffeecake(think that is the name of it....it calls for using canned biscuits as well plus blueberries. I get requests all the time to make it.

    Thanks, Paula!

I have not made this recipe yet, but know it will be great. I'm glad I read many of the reviews before making this the first time. I suspect that the problem for the people who were disappointed was due to their oven being the wrong temp. Ovens age and the thermostats become inaccurate. I always keep an oven thermometer in my oven to make sure that temp is what the recipe calls for. Also, I purchased a specialty 'monkey bread' pan from King Arthur Flour. Unlike a bundt pan which has shaped sides, this pan has straight sides and a round bottom which should result in more even cooking. I'll post again after I make this recipe later today. Thanks Paula for another yummy recipe.

Oh so very good!!! I did not roll my biscuits into balls but instead put a piece of cream cheese in the middle and folded it over like an empanada and then smashed it flat and layed it in the bundt pan. Worked great, everything cooked evenly and the 30 minute cook time was perfect. This is a definite keeper!

To be honest, I was excited to try it out, but my result was horrible. I baked for 30 minutes and the top layer was burnt, and the bottom layer was raw so i baked it for 10 minutes more. I had to throw away the top layer and some of the bottom layer. The cream cheese was a horrible taste as if it did not go with it... Alright, I redid the recipe and over all it came out delicious my husband loves it, and we will keep making it. I baked for 50 minutes, turning over balls every 10 minutes for them to get cooked correct. They are very delicious,we cant stop eating them.
