I made this cake for my mother-in-law who is a great baker. She flipped over it.

It was the best cake I ever made.

    Thanks again Paula!!

This recipe wasn't too difficult to make, and it turned out very good. I did notice it tasted better after sitting overnight and being turned over. Very good!

This cake is by far one of the best I have ever made. It is moist, and with the combination of coconut, pecans and apples, wow, delicious. Thanks for sharing it with your followers.

I loved this cake! I don't care for nuts or coconut so I didn't put them in and it worked just great.

Wow. Fabulous, my family loved it. I also substituted 1/2 the flour portion for whole wheat flour. Delicious.

I made this cake and it was awesome. I do not like coconut, so I left it out - just added some extra apples, and it worked out fine.

When I made this cake the batter was a bit sticky and didn't pour into the pan as Paula's did. It was more of a plop. Can anyone offer suggestions on what I did wrong? It's heavy and the first tasting was very sweet, but it definitely improves with age.

I made this for a dinner party. Fantastic! Simple. I substituted fresh pears. Worked wonderfully. When I brought the remaining cake into work, everyone wanted the recipe.
