I have made this cake many times, it is PERFECT! I usually end up using about 3 1/2 to 4 cups of apples, and like to use a couple green and a couple red. Brought this to a big party and had to email the recipe to about ten different people the next day. Also stays delish for a very long time and tastes great with a cup of coffee for breakfast.

I give it 4 stars because my mom absolutely loves the recipe and she said her coworkers absolutely devoured it. I however thought the sauce was too sweet. I think the cake alone without the sauce would be amazing.

The best apple cake recipe ever!! Brought this to a dinner party and everyone could not stop raving about it. Paula, this cake is sooo good it's to die for as you often say. The combination of pecans, apples, and coconut is scrumptious-all the flavors meld well together. You must try this recipe. I guarentee you will love it!!

I love this cake! Every man loves it! I don't always make the sauce and it is still wonderful. I have now made it so many times I have the recipe memorized. I like using granny smith apples and I chop them a little bit bigger so you gets bites of apple - looks beautiful.

Great cake...To luvmilk, slither back under the northern rock, you sethed from. Apparently you don't understand the concept of southern cooking, so scurry on all fours elsewhere....thanks, Paula for another great recipe!
