    I made this cake everybody loved it, I made it the same way Paula showed the only thing I add was like 1/2 teaspoon or maybe less nutmeg. It came out really good! Thank you Paula.

    I felt the cake lacked flavor and was over powered by the frosting. I loved the frosting but I will not be making this recipe a keeper in my house. Glad I tried.

    I added raisins to the ingredients because we prefer carrot cake with raisins. This cake was easy and not too sweet, not to heavy, the perfect carrot cake!

    i am a teenager who made this carrot cake for my aunt's birthday. My whole family LOVED IT!!!!!!! It was really easy too! the cake was extremely moist, and the frosting was perfect. just make sure to put a lot in between the layers so you can really taste it. i put raisins in the recipe, and i think made it even better! Thanks paula your grandma created the best recipe ever! :

    This recipe asked for 1 1/2 cups of oil. The cake came out too oily and flat. I gave it two stars because the taste of the cake was great, but I could not serve it.

    I am a chocolate person; chocolate is one of the basic food groups, right? :- But I do love a good Carrot Cake. I am always looking for that one Carrot Cake recipe that is the best. I have now found it. Moist, tasty, and easy. No joke; I think this is the best Carrot Cake I have ever eaten. My search if over.

    I had never made a carrot cake before so I just picked one from one of my favorites, Mrs. Paula Deen. I made it exactly as recipe showed and I put in the pecans cause carrot cake isn't carrot cake without pecans and I don't even like them by themselves. Made a tester for my family to make sure I could do it right and it turned out amazing. Made the 2nd for a party and everybody loved it. I will never buy a carrot cake again. This was easy to do. Thank You Paula

    I've made this cake as a birthday cake a couple times and it's always a huge hit. It's really fast and easy, and I love how there's alot of grated carrot in there that really gives it that home-made look and taste. It's incredibly moist too which is nice. I will warn it's on the sweeter side of carrot cake recipes I've tried, but I like'em sweet!
