    This cake was simple to make and a joy to eat. The cake was dense and had just a hint of the cocoa flavor.

    I love this recipe. I feel it will be so good...My son-in-law loves red velvet cake. This is going to be my first time to make it. Hope it turns out as good as Paulas'. I doubt that it will. I love her recipes and her show...She's great..Keep it up....

    This is one cake that realy tops the charts.I had to email the recipe to 3 people from a party that i went to.As the old saying goes,they jumped on it like a duck on a bug.It sure pays to take two to a party.Thanks a bunch.

    I really liked this cake and it was easy. The icing was a little sweet for my taste, but I did put it on pretty thick. Maybe a thinner coating would be better, but everyone loved it.

    I've made several cakes and icings from scratch...the cake was ok...the icing would not set up and just dribbled down...what a mess! This recipe is filed forever in my circular file.

    I made this cake for Mother's Day today and it was wonderful. My whole family loved it. It's my new favorite cake. Thanks Paula and thanks to your grandmother Paul.

    I have made many cakes from scratch, I've never had one turn out like this cake did. The ingredents list 2 sticks of butter, the directions make no mention of the butter. The cakes were were terriable, they were dry, hard,flat and tasted awful! Food network or Paula Deen need to remove this recipe from the web-site.

    I made this cake and it was a big flop. She has two sticks of butter for the cake batter but no where in the recipe does it say when and where to put it. I wish she would go back and fix what is messed up in the recipe. I still love Paula though. She,s the best.
