this is another great recipe from paula. i was reading some of the other reviews, and anyone who doesn't understand "COMBINE BUTTER AND SUGAR AND CREAM TOGETHER" should obviously not be baking.

I'm a big fan of heavy, dense cakes and breads. Who needs fluff? This is the best pound cake I've made so far. It filled, but didn't overflow my 10 inch bundt cake pan. Baked in 1 hour 15 minutes. Try spreading fruit flavored cream cheese between two thin slices then grilling like a sandwich. A dollop of whipped cream....yummmmm.

This was one of the easiest pound cakes I have ever made. It has great texture and the flavor was almost perfect all it needs is a touch of salt which I will try next time. If that ruins it -I will write another review giving it five stars and eating humble pie.

This is one great cake! My husband isn't much of a cake eater and he loved it. It's moist, rich, dense, delicious, and so simple to make. Paula, love your show and your cake!

My boss requested a sour cream pound cake for her birthday. I'd never made one before, so I came to the Food Network website to find one and am VERY glad I did. It turned out great and everyone loved it...including my boss! It was relatively easy to make too...would have been easier if I'd had a bigger mixing bowl :D

I baked this cake and served with fresh berries and topped with Whipped Cream for Father's Day Dessert.
My husband and grandchildren loved it.
I doubled the recipe and baked the batter in a large tube pan and one loaf pan.
The loaf pan cake I sliced and froze.
I also substituded Almond Flavoring for the Vanilla.
Very Very Good Cake.
