I baked this cake and served with fresh berries and topped with Whipped Cream for Father's Day Dessert.
My husband and grandchildren loved it.
I doubled the recipe and baked the batter in a large tube pan and one loaf pan.
The loaf pan cake I sliced and froze.
I also substituded Almond Flavoring for the Vanilla.
    Very Very Good Cake.

This cake is delicious and holds its own to my grandmother's 7-up cake. At first reading, the directions were a bit confusing...what cream?? But, after re-reading it again I realized the directions are saying to cream the butter and sugar together! DOH!

This was the best textured poundcake I have ever made or had. It is really a keeper and it makes a great big cake. Good for cutting and freezing for later.

Missing Ingredient must be a new baker. It could also read: Cream together butter and sugar.
