Paula usually provides the best recipes - however this one is not included in the group. Center was doughy and the longer I cooked it the more the edges burned. I took it to a family reunion and was too embarrassed to serve the dish. I won't make it again.

I had a bunch of home grown blueberries that were super sweet, so I omitted the extra sugar on the berries. This was fantastic. Other complained it was too sweet, maybe by omitting the extra sugar...I did have to bake it an extra 10 minutes. This is a must make!!!!!

This is most likely the best thing I've ever made. I agree that it is a bit unhealthy but I think it's fine to have unhealthy delicious food every now and then.. if you're concerned just don't make it very often and when you do have a smaller portion, it's definately worth it. I have a daughter that will be 2 soon and she never wants to eat she's always too busy playing but she always stops to eat this and so does everyone esle! Very very good

This is great for a dessert or even breakfast/brunch! It is a bit sweet so I think I'll cut back on the sugar for the blueberries next time! We served it right out of the oven with vanilla ice cream! Yummy!

You couldn't ask for an easier coffee cake and with the fresh blueberries I had on hand it was wonderful. I would suggest either increasing the amount of blueberries on decreasing the amount of white sugar used to coat the blueberries. Other than that, I will make this again and again with few changes. I do agree with a few other comments that it needs more than 20 minutes. To the reviewer who said this was 'unhealthy', I'd suggest trying another recipe site. Paula Dean is not where you want to go for 'healthy', it is where you go for good southern cooking!

Paula has outdone herself again with this delicious coffee cake. The blueberries pop open and ooze their juice, which combines with the butter and sugar to create a scrumptious syrupy goodness. The oats add texture, and buttermilk biscuits dipped in butter and brown sugar/cinnamon are tender yet chewy. If you put it on your head, your tongue would beat your eyes out trying to get to it.

We made this for father's day breakfast and it was definitely a hit. I needed to cook it just a little bit longer than the 20 minutes, and next time I will try less sugar, or maybe Splenda. But the whole family enjoyed it as it was, and asked that I make it again. Kudos!

I made this using fresh blueberries, about 2 cups, but did not adjust the sugar. I won't make again, but for those who do try it I would suggest less sugar to mix with the blueberries and more cinammon to mix with the brown sugar. Couldn't really taste the cinammon and this cake was super sweet. Also, I baked it an extra 10 minutes and the biscuits were still doughy. I ended up microwaving a portion before eating. The biscuits ended up a little chewy, but at least they were done. I wanted to try this once, but that's all I'll do. Extremely unhealthy and I like my biscuits baked through.
