I used a glass pyrex dish (as at least one other pointed out and it hadn't baked evenly in the center. When using fresh blueberries it's good to mash them slightly to open them and release the juices, or else they'll roll everywhere. Other than that, I've found that this recipe is great. I now use two half size pyrex dishes and it turns out great everytime.

Bonus-It's great with blueberry or vanilla yogurt too!

the flavor was yummy but 20 mins is NO WHERE near enough time..and it is VERY difficult to check..however, the "blueberry syrup" that is made is so good...i think the time needs to be at least doubled..i will totally make it again and just cook it a lot longer...

This is the first time I've tried one of Paua's recipes and I found it to be absolutely delicious! After reading the comments, I baked the blueberry coffee cake for an extra five minutes and it was perfect, although I suspect the five minutes did not matter too much. Perhaps what mattered more is that I baked it in a dark teflon-coated pan, as opposed to a glass (pyrex-type pan, which I suspect may be the problem with at least some of those who found their cakes to need varying cook times.
In any case, this recipe goes to the very top of my list of favorites, in part because it is so easy to make, but mostly because it is so enjoyable to eat! Thanks, Paula!

Simple easy recipe. I baked @ 375 for 35 min. Came out perfect, This would also be just as good with other fruits (if blueberrys are not your favorite. This was actually the first blueberry anything my picky 12 year old daughter as ever liked! Will be making this again for my friends.

Thanks for all the great comments it will really help when I make this for my husband soon. I did watch the video that accompanied this recipe and the reason the cooking time is off is because she was using a convection oven so you would need to double the cooking time right off the bat. I guess I was the only one who caught this, and obviously it was missleading they should have adjusted the time for all of us who don't have convection.

20 minutes is not nearly enough cooking time. The blueberries were bubbling on top, so I thought it was done. It is difficult to assess whether the biscuits are done because they sit underneath the blueberries. I should have put it back in the oven when I realized it wasn't done (when I cut into it.. I ate a serving anyway because I had so been looking forward to it (made me feel a little sick afterward. I don't think I'll try this again.

I had a heck of a time getting the middle part to cook......maybe a bigger pan would help....otherwise taste was wonderful...

I like Paula Deen, but this is her first recipe I've made and I was very disappointed. The oatmeal made this dish very strange. Also, I used butter biscuits as was recommended and that didn't do much for the taste either.
It just didn't taste fresh like you would expect something that has just been baked to. Instead, it was very gooey and flat.

I feel like I wasted an entire container of fresh blueberries. I see many positive reviews for this recipe but I would have to disagree.

Maybe this is a fun recipe for kids to play with but as far as actual taste, it's a flop for me. I would not suggest this recipe.

I made the dish following the recipe and it turned out great. Since I have made some adaptations.

I don't coat the blueberries in sugar. It is already sweet enough.

I have also added almond slices to the oat mix. YUM!

You also don't need to use butter if you want to cut down. I have cut the butter out all together and it was fine. Usually I only dip about half of the pieces in butter first. This keeps it a little gooey on the bottom.

I cut my biscuits into 6-9 pieces. The smaller pieces make it a little easier to eat.

No matter how you make it, its very good.
