I've made a different version of this, make some adjustments. I make the bundles then microwave them for about 3 min. Then drizzle Balsamic Vinnegar over them & BROIL, turning periodically. I secure the bundles with toothpick broken in half so they can be turned to broil all over.

I made this for Thanksgiving and it was the HIT of the dinner! Since then I have made this for numerous holiday dinners and dinner guests. I love love this recipe!

Great recipe, I loved the green beans but cooking them in 18 minutes is a total joke. I had my oven turned up to 400 and it still took 30 minutes. I think the problem is the green bean to bacon ratio. If I make this recipe again, I will use thinner bacon or twice the number of green beans and definitely allow more time for cooking.

An alternative to this recipe is to mix 3/4 cups of brown sugar with 2 Tablespoons of soy sauce and pour over bacon/green beans before cooking. It's also very yummy.

Easy recipe I found the flavor lacking, so I added lemon zest and juice of one lemon with 2 lbs of small french green beans. Made all the difference in the world.

This was a total holiday hit! Served with Bobby Flay's Horseradish crust Prime Rib (highly recommended. This took some prep, but was easy enough to do well ahead of time before guests arrived. They are pretty and taste good. My 9 year old trimmed all the beans, and we worked together to wrap the middles. I used a thinner-sliced type bacon (as opposed to the thick applewood Wright's that I usually cook with and cut each bacon slice in half. Used about 8 beans per bundle with a 1/2 a bacon slice. Placed on a rack, that was placed on a foil-lined baking sheet (easy cleanup. Cooked 2 lbs of bundled beans for 15 minutes, then finished them off for 2 minutes under the broiler to make it crisp. This is worth making for company - absolutely delicious and charming presentation.

This makes an impressive side dish for Christmas, Easter, or just a nice Sunday dinner, but it's very easy. I only blanch my beans for 30 seconds until bright green. I find that I need to bake the bundles a little longer for the bacon to get to my preferred doneness, and 3 mins of blanching is too much. Maybe I just need a thinner cut of bacon. This is one of those recipes that can be prepared in advance and bakes the day of, which I love. Excellent and tasty!

I made these for the first time. My husband who is not a green bean lover, said I can make these any time. I used frozen, let some water come to a boil and let them boil for three minutes, and probably should have just used half a slice, but husband and kids gobbled them up. Will definitely make for a special occasion, but easy enough for a weeknight meal as well.

If they had 10 stars I would give it a 10. How can you go wrong wrapping anything in bacon? These were some of the best green beans I have ever had! Paula you really out did yourself on this one and they are so easy!!!!!!

I am not a fan of green beans at all. I can take them or leave them and most of the time I have left them. However, I used frozen green beans and infused my olive oil with fresh garlic and did not even get to the salt and pepper. BUT, when I tell you they were good, please believe they were good. I put about 8 green beans or so in each bundle. I am now trying to figure out who I can make these bundles of joy for.
