This is a true southern green bean casserole. Follow the recipe to a "T" just be careful when adding the salt. The first time I made this recipe I added too much salt. I make this for Thanksgiving every year.

LOVE this recipe. I didn't have the fried onion rings so I fried some & added them throughout & then again after the casserole was finished. Thank you Paula for another winning recipe!

So so good. I can't stop eating eat. I had more green beans than the recipe called for so I added a little condensed milk to compensate for the lack of moisture due to additional beans. I also enjoy the crunch of french onions and added them on top of the cheese to bake for the last 10 minutes. This recipe is a new favorite!

I made this recipe for a day-after-Christmas buffet party for 24 people. It was the hit of the party! I had to almost triple the recipe, guessing the amount of beans, etc. (as this was my first time making, but it met with huge success! I really think the fresh cut green beans make all the difference in the world from the standard green bean recipe. It is the "go-to" now for not only my family, but the extended Christmas invitees! By the way, advice on how to accurately triple this recipe (without guessing is appreciated ......just multiply ingredients by 3? One other p.s.: I made this the night before (did not cook, refrigerated, and heated the day of ..... perfect! Thanks Paula!

Pretty good. I never have this dish before so I don't really have anything to compare it to. But I liked it.
