This was the first Thanksgiving where I prepared the whole meal. My green beans turned out better then anything else. Very easy and delicious. I couldn't find fried onions so I made my own.

Just made this for a belated Thanksgiving dinner. This is a great recipe for keeping it simple but just a couple of extra EASY steps really give it extra depth and flavor making it way better than the all canned ingredient original I've made in the past.

I didn't change a thing to this recipe and it was wonderful! Sauteing the mushrooms and onions really makes a huge difference. The fried onions provided that needed crunch and the cheese offered the anticipated "MMmmmmmm" factor. It was also really easy. Thanks, Paula! It was a great addition to my first Thanksgiving table.

This casserole reminded me of something that is served at a prison or school cafeteria. It was horrible. What a waste of fresh green beans!

It came out good, but I am more of a fan of a green bean casserole with the french fried onions on the top and not the cheese.

Added some Cheddar Jack Cheese to the beans prior to baking, then topped with cheddar cheese and onion rings. Delicious! Was a hit at thanksgiving this year :
