This is my Thanksgiving contribution (every year!...everyone loves it, it's super easy and just a little twist on plain GB Casserole. I always double it, which is very easy and add lots of extra cheese and bacon pieces!

This is extremely tasty. My husband has made this for the last 3 years for Thanksgiving with an encore at Christmas from the family's request. Everyone loves it!

OMG this was amazing good. Loved it. Loved it. I'm sure it will be a hit at tomorrow's T-Giving. I doubled all the ingredients and baked it in a casserole dish. I will certainly make this again in the future.

    Keep this recipe - it's a star.

Really good. Used vegetable thins crackers and very little salt and it turned out great. Kids don't like to look at it but once they try it, they're hooked.

I have been using this recipe for 4 years and it's been a family favorite. My kids requests this dish for their birthday dinners. I follow the recipe but of course I end up adding a little more of this and a little more of that :

Made this for the first time for Thanksgiving this year, and I was hesitant on making it, because i'm not a.mushroom fan, but I made it anyway, only change I made was omit the mushrooms. This is.the.first time ive had green bean casserole, and now.i know.wh y its so popular! This recipe was outstanding, my dad asked .for seconds and thirds!. I didn't use the fried onions, I used crumbled ritz crackers and sliced almonds on top, and it was still outstanding with the right textures! This will be my holiday side recipe from now on!

Wanted to do a trial run on this recipe as my daughter-in-law asked me to bring a veggie dish for Thanksgiving. I bought ingredients to try it, then got an email from the daughter-in-law asking me to bring a creamed corn dish we like. Oh well, I had the trial ingredients so made it. I did like it, and will probably make it again, but with the following changes. Double the amount of green beans, not use the whole can of soup or whole can of onion rings. Made it too salty, even WITHOUT using the house seasoning! Also I would cut back on the butter. Other than that, I thought it was pretty good.

    n.drexel:

Yes this can be made in advance, however I kept the ingredients separate until I mixed them right before baking. I made the components then took them separately to the house I was going to, mixed it all there and baked it and it was delicious. I boiled my green beans at home. However, to keep them bright green (since you are not immediately baking/serving shock them after they're boiled in ice cold water. Pat them dry and put them in a bag. I also sauteed my onions and mushrooms and put them in a container to take with me. Bring container of french fried onions and your grated cheese. I warmed up the onions and mushrooms in the pan, added the beans then the soup and then finished with the fried onions. Turned out great! I'm sure you can also make it in advance and mix it all, however I'd still shock the green beans. But I like bright vegetables.

I didn't really eat green beans - until this recipe! I made it last Thanksgiving and it has been a staple ever since! It's super easy and fast, and the flavor is great! Some said this was the best dish out of all of my Thanksgiving dinner side dishes last year. I made it exactly as the recipe calls for. Thanks Paula!!
