If you are lookin for a green bean casserole for the holidays, then THIS IS IT! It's easy and awesome. This one has become a family tradition in my home. I have been makin it for the past 4 or 5 years. I have taken it to parties and everyone wants the recipe. My one suggestion is not overcookin the green beans in the chicken broth. And to Larry86, yes you can make ahead of time.

We made this last night as a trial run before Thanksgiving. It was delicious! The best green bean casserole - ever. This recipe will be a tradition in our house from now on!

I made this recipe last year for Thanksgiving day, it was the first empty dish on the table even though I doubled the recipe. I added crumbled bacon to the recipe and it was fantastic!!!

Paula dean rocks but my favorite green bean casserole is where I use mushroom alfredo sauce and shredded mozzzarella cheese. when done sprinkle chopped bacon bits on top. serve hot

LOVE IT!! i have been making this for the past 3 years on Thanksgiving. Its a major hit and I make twice as much because it runs out so fast. Must try it!!

My family loves Thanksgiving food, and we have alot of great dishes. I'm 14, and love to cook, so I really wanted to contribute a delicious dish this year. My family has alot of untraditional Thanksgiving food, so I knew I wanted to make a more traditional dish to bring to the table. I found this recipe and thought it would be good to make because it seemed easy. Its fantastic! I made a few changes, and it was perfect. I cut down on the cheese on top, and only used 2/3rds of the can of Cream of Mushroom soup. For those who arent so keen on mushrooms, this dish is still yummy, and I would suggest cutting down the mushrooms to 1 less. I was a little worried about how I would like it since I normally hate mushrooms, but to my immense suprise it was perfect. I'll definetely be making this casserole for Thanksgiving. My family loved it. It's good hot or cold.
