I love this recipe, it is fast, easy and flavorful. My family demands this to be included in the Thanksgiving menu every year and I would be a fool to leave it out.

This was good. Easy to make. My store was out of regular onion ring/straws & all they had was Cheddar ones. The flavor was a little to strong with them. Next time I think I'll use more of a mild cheese with a Ritz cracker. Great base recipe.

My neighbor cans garden fresh green beans, so I just put them in hot chicken broth for a moment. I used sliced white mushrooms and baby bellas. I added crumbled bacon as a topping as well as the french fried onions, and baked till bubbly. Then I added the sharp cheddar and baked once again till bubbly. BEST Green Bean Casserole EVER!!! Thanks Paula!

    Best ever!
I've been making this recipe for years now and it never fails! I make it for every singe Thanksgiving dinner, and since my family meets with the rest of our distant family, I get reminder calls to make this AGAIN! My sister makes sure I make this, and when I do, its gone the second I put in on the table.

The green beans come out perfect, soft, flavorful because of the stock, and everything else just falls into place.

Its just an amazing simple recipe that goes a long way for anyone who's new to cooking to those who are on a budget. Good going P.

Very good.. The one thing I changed was that I used a large cast iron skillet to cook up the onions and mushrooms and then also used that as the casserole dish. Delicious recipe! :
