This recipe is awesome! I call foul to those that change the recipe and then review it. Unless your changes are helpful, it is only fair to keep those complaints to yourself.

Made this tonight and it was a great success! Everyone loved this side dish and it was so easy to make. It is not the healthiest vegetable but it is totally worth it. I made this in individual ramekins and the same cooking time applied. As a side note, I don't think the casserole even needs the extra cheese on top but I think that's a personal preference. This is an excellent dish that will remain in my personal cookbook. Thanks Paula!!

The cream of mushroom soup dominated the flavor. I added only 2/3 of the fried onion rings, and it was still too "salty." I sprinkled freshly fried bacon bits on top of the cheese, which may have added to the saltiness. I recommend only 2/3 of the can of mushroom soup, and there is no need to add house seasoning. With these alterations, the dish should make a tasty side. PS. I tried again and made the following changes: I used 1/2 can of Cream of Chicken instead of Cream of Mushroom soup. I boiled the beans in beef stock rather than chicken. I topped the cheese with the fried onion rings rather than putting them in the mixture. The results were delicious!!

Would of tasted way better if i put less butter. I could barely eat it because it was so fatty taste.

This is delish! I didn't have fresh mushrooms or green beans. I used canned french green beans and mushrooms. Worked great! It is a keeper my husband said. Thanks Paula for another wonderful recipe!

This was really good! I added a little olive oil to the butter as I always do with everything. I also added paprika, some chives, and scallions to the saute mixture, and sustituted the garlic powder with minced garlic. I also added a tablespoon of soy sauce to the soup. To make this a complete meal, I added two cans of shredded chunk chicken. It came out pretty and tasted great!

Yummy! This dish was a hit with my kids(whom I have issues with eating greenbeans. Will make this again and again!

Hey Rob, the onions and mushrooms are sauteed in a separate pan. The greenbeans are cooked to a boil in the broth in a separate sauce pan then drained before adding the beans in to the sauteed mushrooms and onions followed by the rest of the ingredients.
