Very good! I made this for a Christmas side dish. I used 3 canned french style green beans instead of fresh.

the only thing i think this recipe didn't need was the extra salt/pepper on top at the end. this was very easy and good. liked the idea of incorporating the french fried onions into it rather than on top. and i messed up a little. i noticed it half way thru putting the cheese on top of the casserole: i forgot to precook the dish without the cheese, and THEN put it on. still very delicious, with flavor, i just think the texture wouldve been better the way paula did it. i was just in a rush and doing other dishes, and tired, and wish id noticed.. i think the french fried onions couldve gotten more crunchy the way she does it. still very good tho.

Oh my gosh. I've never liked green bean casserole before - not a huge fan of onions or mushrooms, but I made this for Thanksgiving for the whole family. I had to try it because it smelled so good; it was AMAZING!! It's got just the right amount of saltiness (that house seasoning blend is so simple, but delicious. And the cheese on top truly is like the icing on the cake. I will definitely be making it every year now - it was a hit!

I was never excited about green bean casserole before I came upon this recipe one Thanksgiving when I was asked to make it for our office potluck. This is so delicious that I made it for my family T-giving dinner and it was a big hit! We now make it at every holiday and sometimes in between when my family has a craving for it. As always, Paula has knocked it out of the park with this one!
