This was such a simple but good recipe. Here in Colorado we don't always have salt pork at our fingertips but I used bacon and it was still delicious! I just love Paula and all her recipes. I think I've cooked more of her recipes than anyone ever:

Wonderful! Reminds me of when I used to visit my Aunt on her farm. Pick the green beans, dig the potatoes and then WOW! What a taste of childhood. I cut down on the fat by about 1/2, but otherwise - yummy.

Loved the green beans with new potatoes. My family was crazy about them. Best green bean receipt I have ever had. Thanks Paula keep up the good work.

Will be making this for a take-a-long side dish. Very rich.

Green beans and baby new potatoes--two of my favorites and a great combination. I loved this recipe, although I could just about feel my arteries going into shock from all the fat and salt. Next time, I'll cut them by about two thirds--after all we don't want to drown the flavor of the beans and spuds. Definitely a keeper.

I left out the potatoes and cooked in a pressure cooker but the taste was out of this world

I remember eating this as a kid and loving every bite. I forgot all about it until I saw Paula do it again. This stuff is wonderful. My husband and daughter can't get enough.

Wanna see a kid gobble green beans? I almost passed out when my youngest only ate the green beans off her plate. What just happened? Might just be a miracle!
