    This is an absolutely awesome recipe. I will definately hang on to this one and make it again. I think I will even make it next Sunday for Mother's Day!

    I do believe these are the best green beans I've ever put into my mouth!!!!! A little fat never hurt anybody!

    My mother is a great southern cook, able to cook dishes infused with taste, unlike anyone I have ever met. My first effort at this dish produced the most succulent string beans I have ever tasted, maybe even better than Mama's.

    Very good and easy. Followed directions except didn't use the pork it called for and green beans didn't take quite as long to get half done. Will definitely make again and shared w/my mom.

    This was wonderful!! Tastes just like the way my Mama used to make it. I am so glad to get this recipe. It is also good with a big pan of cornbread.
