You have to get FAT asparagus to successfully skewer them! Wimpy asparagus will not survive! I liked the idea of paprika, I've never put that on asparagus before, so it was a great new idea.

Loved it!!! I have loved asparagus for several years. I'm married now and have a 10 year old son. They both said they didn't like asparagus but after cooking it this way they feel in love with it. However, I substituted garlic with pepper and added a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. They can't get enough!!

good seasoning, only I made the asparagus in a vegetable grilling cage instead of skewers. Came out great and easier than trying to put asparagus spears on a skewer without losing them into the grill.

The only problem I had was the asparagus kept breaking when I was trying to put the skewers on.Other wise it was pretty good.

I mixed the marinade the day before as I ended up not grilling on the first day. The marinade was good but I added about about half a lemon juiced to it. Like the previous feedback, I received very positive feedback on the asparagus. I will be making this again.

I grill asparagus at least bi-monthly. I tried this recipe for the first time and got a, "the asparagus is really good" from the wife and kids. Usually it is good, this time it was really good. Nuff said.

The only problem i had was the skewers just made the asparagus break in half so i just put the asparagus on foil on the grill, and it turned out pretty good, but it was a little lacking in flavor.

This is amazing, just like all of Paulas dishes. I use this is on at my Army Base (Fort Meade and all my soldiers and neighbors love this. I use tin foil at first on the grill to get them a little softer, then throw them on the grill to give them that quick cook and grill marks. I put all the ingredients on first and let sit for a while and then created the same batch minus paprika and brushed as I cooked, was amazing. I told my wife there are two woman in my life, my wife and Paula Dean.

Make sure you buy the biggest asparagus you can find! I bought a 2 lb. bag at Costco, doubled this recipe, and it worked beautifully. I used six wooden skewers to make three "rafts" of asparagus, put them on a tray and poured the mixture over it. I let it sit there for awhile until we were ready to grill. Even the kids liked it! My guests asked for the recipe. I'm keeping this one on hand to do again and again.
