Incredible flavor, I tried this with a 1.5kg (60oz tenderloin, so I x5 everything, not necessary, x3 would be enough. The result was a juicy tangy tender meal, I accompanied it with grilled asparagus (found recipe here too. My family loved it. Overnight marinade is what makes this great. Serves 8-10 people. The marinade had and incredible flavor, I would not imagine this recipe without the tamarind, it is essential for the tangy flavor.

Excellent Paula! Just this side of being fabulous! Presumed it would favor an Asian flavor... not at all! Wonderful medley of flavor & taste.
Could not find Tamarind so sub'd with lime juice and brown sugar (supposedly the closest alternative to tamarind. Added a bit of flavor by using some applewood chips as well during grilling.
Wife wanted me to cook it today for Labor Day but I forgot to marinade the one I have.

I hit a home run with this recipe....it was incredibly tender. I used apricot preserves and added just a tad more lime juice. Everyone loved it and went back for seconds.

Loved this marinade! Used Tamarind Chutney found at an Indian Food Market. Added some apricot preserve to sweeten the tartness. Excellent!

I didn't have tamarind and used the apricot preserves. Very good. Resulted in a moist, tender, flavor packed dish. I am always looking for great recipes for the grill that do not add a ton of calories or need an entire spice rack to make! Will definitely make again.

Don't skip the tamarind, but do reduce the amount. I used a scant teaspoon of tamarind paste concentrate. It was just right. I didn't need all the citrus juices because the tamarind provided enough tartness. We loved it.

Outstanding - whole family enjoyed! I did reserve a small amount of the marinade to heat later, as the directions suggest, but found it was way too intense a flavor. The pork is just fine on it's own! I paired it with asparagas on the grill - yummy!

A great dish to grill at the beach; my husband said it was better than our dinner out last night. Substituted tamarind with apricot preserves, as suggested by other reviews. I got mixed up and bought a shallot instead of scallions. Didn't want to waste, so used chopped shallots and thought it was very tasty.

I made this last weekend for a Father's Day BBQ. Everyone loved it!! It was tender and so flavorful, but not overwhelming. Throughout the meal everyone kept saying how good it was and asked for the recipe. I highly recommend it!
