This was FANTASTIC. I don't usually like gumbo but I was extremely impressed. I used chorizo sausage and leftover pork tenderloin instead of chicken. It was sooo good.My husband raved about it. I put it over some white rice and it was perfect. This is going to be my new famous recipe.

This really is a delicious recipe! Instead of using chicken, I added crab meat and made it a seafood gumbo. We served it over rice and loved every last bite! Thank you so much for a wonderful recipe, Paula!!

This was my first time making Gumbo, and I followed the directions to a T! I added some cayenne pepper for a little kick, but not to much cause I have kids. This was really good, I would definetly make this again!! thanks Paula!!

Great recipe! Great taste. I added a little more shrimp. Making the roux was a little challenging trying not to burn it. Cook slow and stir constantly is the key. I've never made gumbo before but I made it on Saturday afternoon and by Sunday night it was all gone! Very tasty, nice consistency, and pleasant texture. Pouring the gumbo over white rice was delicious!

Excellent and easy recipe! I never use margarine, but bought it because I thought it would help with the roux not burning, worked! I was skeptical about the amount of worcester, but came out great! I didn't have andouille sausage, so put in red pepper and cayenne. I was definitely impressed, and had almost all ingredients on hand. I used more shrimp also. My boyfriend loved it so much he ate it for breakfast. I have had so many different types of gumbo ...... This is a great recipe.....Thank you!

Gumbo is a stew look it up.The gumbo here is very good the whole pot was gone .The only changes I did was when the roux was about brown enough I turned the stove off for 5 mins still stiring .Turned it back on added the peppers, onion, and garlic stired it in.Then added the worcestershire sauce didnt wait ten mins didnt want the roux to burn and I added a bay leave .
