I had never fried chicken before and I was kind of nervous. I followed the directions to a "T" and it turned out awesome. Some of my wifes clients were over for a review of their photos and they ate with us and loved it. The glaze has an amazing taste and is extremely simple to make. I give this a 15 on a 1-10 scale!

"It makes me want to cry it's so good!" That is what my husband said after taking his first bite of Gussie's Fried Chicken. I made this recipe with boneless chicken breasts. When I make it again, I'll use smaller pieces of chicken (maybe chicken strips. This is a great way to serve fried chicken, but a big portion can get a bit rich. I don't think
I wouldn't make this recipe with bone in chicken, only because it would be so very messy.
Gussie-- that would be a great name for our puppy, when we get one. :

Now, my grandson, Jackson, has a new favorite food and he has named this recipe "Granny Chicken Two." I've made it four or five times already and will make it many more times. I use chicken strips I make myself from whole skinless boneless breasts instead of the chicken pieces. My husband is lazy and thinks the bones interfere with the glaze! The glaze is great on fried shrimp, using Panko breadcrumbs.

This recipe was so good that it didn't even make sense! The chicken with the salt, pepper and garlic powder was just beautiful! The Pecan-Honey Glaze just made the chicken unforgettable! I have made this twice. It is my husbands favorite!

What can I say? Paula you did it again. The chicken was very moist and cooked perfectly. The pecan sauce was dangerous. We used the pecan sauce the next morning on pancakes.
