I had to divide the vote....I gave this 5 stars and hubby gave it one star. I have a sweet tooth and love pecans and fried chicken so this was out of the world to me.....but hubby said he prefers the old fashioned fried chicken and gravy....no nuts or honey glaze. More for me, I said!
    Thanks, Paula.........love your show!

I'm from NC so, Fried Chicken is something we eat a couple of times a month. This recipe gives my fried chicken a new taste & texture that make eating it fun again. My husband loves it. I've fixed it severl times when company came over & each time my friends have asked me for the recipe.

I hadn't made fried chicken for years, as we are always trying to watch the calories & cholesterol. I was expecting company and decided to throw caution to the wind! Everybody raved about this chicken. Came out crispy and just perfect. The pecan glaze was wonderful but I served it on the side allowing people to use it at their discretion. Definately will make this again!!!

This recipe came out great!!! It was easy to make, my chicken never came so perfect before. I used pecan chips in a bag from Diamond, with these chips I would use a 1/2 cup of pecans instead.

I have been searching for this type recipe ever since I had it at a restaurant in Colorado near Winter Park in the 1980's. The chicken is so delicious with the honey pecan glaze, and it is so easy to do. The self-rising flour and cracked lid over the skillet do wonders for the fried chicken. It is my family's favorite way to eat chicken now. Thank you Paula and Gussie! *As a side note, if you're not watching Paula's show, you're missing the (tugboat. She's the best!

I agree that the sauce is a bit too much, so next time I will serve on the side and let people put on what they want. I think it was wonderful overall!! Will make again for sure!
