A lot of work. Good pie though. Mine had too much moisture. Most likely from the vegetable mixture. Make sure you cook the water out of onions and peppers or your pie will be swimming in juice in the bottom of the pan.

Saw this recipe put together on Paula's Party. It was definitely a "Gotta Try This One". Sure enough, it was out of this world. Even for those who do not fancy much garlic, the other flavors blended in well and did not leave a heavy garlicy taste at all. Since I was in a hurry to try it and could not find pulled pork nor wanted to go thru the process of making it, I substituted a name brand premade shredded BBQ pork sold at most any grocery store in one of those tupperware looking bowls. Shredded chicken would also be a compliment to this dish

The end result is awesome. We followed it up a desert lemonade pie. What a way to end the day with a dinner like that.

This was a great recipe. My family loved it I made two pies one for home and one for work but my family ate both. I changed a few things to make it mine. Used pepper jack cheese, added medium green chiles and spicy black olives to the sofrito. And instead of the mozarella cheese I used a blend of Moza/Provolone. It came out great. Will defentily make this again and again.

We couldn't wait to try this once we saw it on the show. It was so delicious! We did have to cook it for a bit longer than the recipe said, but it was absolutely wonderful. We'll definitely be making this again soon!

This is a creative, interesting combination of flavors that breaks the boring and creates a complete meal of flavor with ease.
