Hubby had a breakfast potluck so I made this for him to take in. I didn't have ham so I put bacon and sausage in it and I doubled the recipe since there were about 40 people with all of them bringing dishes too. He brought back the baking dish and it was totally clean. He had about 6 people ask him for the recipe too! Way to go Paula! You helped make my hubby a rock star at work!!

Definitely a disappointment from Paula Deen! I've tried so many of her recipes and never experienced one so disappointing until now...

Great recipe, I had left over baked potatoes from the night before I made this, I grated the potatoes, added the salt a pepper to taste then pressed them into the bacon fat greased 9" pie plate. I also brushed some melted bacon fat on the potato crust before baking. Omitted the butter for bacon fat - just wanted to punch the pork fat flavor home. Made everything else according to recipe. My family and guests loved this. I can see myself playing with the basic recipe and trying other flavor combos. I also baked the crust ahead of time - before church and just covered it with a tea towel and left it on the stove top. I also had the egg mixture mixed and waiting for me in the frige. When I got home I turned on the oven, poured egg mixture in the baked crust and lunch was ready in about 45 minutes. Thank you Paula

I tripled this recipe for Easter brunch and used Farmer John jalapeno bacon instead of ham, added extra eggs and reduced the cream a little bit. I also followed another posters suggestion and made the hash brown crust the night before, to save time in the morning. Everyone loved it, there were no leftovers. This is a keeper!

This was easy to make and looked and tasted amazing! I made the hash brown crust the day before as this was our Christmas Day breakfast and I didn't have much time. I portioned out all of the other ingredients so I could quickly add this to the crust in the morning, just to save time. I used ground pork country sausage, which was very mild and appealed to everyone. This recipe is a winner! Thanks, Paula!

I sped up this meal by purchasing Simply Potatoes shredded potatoes in the cheese\dairy isle, fresh and not frozen and ready to go! Do be cautious to make sure the potatoes are evenly spread, I messed that up slightly so certain areas were brown and others weren't. The extra salt isn't necessary since ham is already a salty meat, I was very pleased I didn't add it. I will definitely remake this and even add in a few different items even though I was very pleased with the flavor and so was everyone else.

Wow. I made this for Christmas breakfast. I added mushrooms and used 4 egss. Living in higher elevation, I ended up cooking both the crust and eggs longer. This turned out amazing. The end result even looked like the picture! Thanks Paula!

Excellent! I tend to not like quiche due to the pie crust that is normally used to make one. This recipe uses potatoes and I love it! I used 4 eggs 1 c. half and half dices white onion diced jalapeno chopped cilantro and ham....delicious!

This was delicious! I used turkey sausage in place of the ham and also used skim milk instead of half and half. The hashbrown crust was so crispy and flavorful.

This was superb! The flavors and crispy crust was outstanding. We made it with skim milk and lactose free cheese and still came out great! I only used half of the butter for the hasbrowns and was perfect. This is my new Christmas morning breakfast treat. We might have to make one the night before for Santa! Paula you are so awesome and love love love your shows. We have been with you from the start. God Bless you and your beautiful family!
