My husband is gluten-intolerant and this is a great alternative solution to the breakfast casseroles which always include bread. I did not use the frozen hash browns. Tried it with fresh, grated Idaho potatoes and another one with fresh grated sweet potatoes. The sweet potato version was far better! I have made it twice now. The cooking time for the quiche is about 5-10 minutes longer than stated here. Excellent! Will make it again and again.

Fantastic - we just had our Christmas brunch with this & Paula's French toast casserole. Both are amazing. As other reviewers point out - it takes much longer to brown the has browns but it's definitely worth the wait. My sons new favorite food - love.

Very tasty and fairly simple to make.... only reason it didn't get my 5 star approval is that the timing is way off. Crust took 15 minutes longer and even then it wasn't all browned, but i took it out because the edges were getting a little too crispy. Bake time on filling was WAY off too, i had to bake for almost an hour and increased temp to 400 in order for it to set.

Love the hash brown crust! Very different but adds a great texture and taste! The full recipe completed, cooked, and warm out of the oven w/ a little bit of salt and freshly ground pepper on top....well, lets just say it makes my taste buds jump for joy! =v

This is a wonderful recipe.... Especially for those with a gluten allergy! I have substituted green chillies for the green onions and I have had no complaints. This is my new favorite breakfast dish. Please try!
