I made this for my family and we all absolutely loved it. I marinated it for 2 hours instead of the 24 hours the recipe suggested. The sirloin was so juicy and tender! I will definitely make this again. :

I did this one up this evening and my first reaction is that the soy sauce is over indexed in this recipe. The result is very salty tasting steak.
Like others, I grabbed a couple of beautifully marbled ribeyes. rather than the sirloin. They were cut into 1/4 inch slices (against the grain, and marinated for nearly a full 24 hours.
After pulling them off the grill the meat was *very tender* and perfectly seared...recipe was spot on there.
I'll give this one a try again, but will add a little more ginger, garlic, and brown sugar to curb the saltiness.

I watched Paula do this on the show & KNEW it would be outta-this-world...
I marinated the sliced steak on Friday and served it along with the grilled pineapple and fried rice at our block party on Saturday...
It was great watching my friends eyes roll back into their heads when they tasted it!!! My friend Mark called it "Hawaiian Heaven" so that's how I'll refer to it from now on. Thanks, Paula!!!

I LOVE your recipes Paula, but, I was disappointed w/ the lack of flavor in this recipe. I marinated for over 24 hours and it was really dull, so I poured on a little teriyaki sauce from a bottle at the end of cooking.

I don't know what I did wrong since others rated this recipe so high, but we thought the meat was way too salty. I did use rib eye instead of sirloin but I don't think that should have made that much of a difference.

I saw this on the All Star Grill special at the beginning of Summer and made it the next day. I only had a few hours to let it marinate - but it turned out great. HUGE crowd pleaser. I have made it 3 times and always have used Rib Eye as they did on the show. A little spendy - but fabulous!

I really enjoyed this recipe- it was pretty easy to make! I just used canned pineapple rings, but I think it would be best with fresh pineapple as suggested. The canned pieces were too soft to grill very well. But they still tasted good. I loved how the skewers of beef looked after grilling- everything about the meat came out just right! Definitely a keeper.

What a great marinade. This was so good and it was so simple to make. The pineapple really compliments the flavor of the beef. Thanks Paula.

This recipe is a keeper! It is very easy to make and my family loved the recipe. Grilling the pinneapple made it even juicier.
