These cookies were very tasty and fun to make. The only note I would make on them is that you don't need as much of confectioner's sugar that the recipe calls for. I had so much left over that I actually made an additional batch of cookies to use it all with! But very yummy cookies!

These cookies are reallyyyyy good! I used chocolate meltaway hershey kisses...a velvety chocolate inside. They spread a little so don't put them close together. About 1 1/2 inches apart. When you take them out of the oven, the cookies are really buttery. Once it cools down and you roll them in powdered sugar, they taste PERFECT!

I LOVE these cookies. I have played around with it a bit and I have found that if someone you are baking it for does not care for pecans(such as my brother, toasted walnuts work very well as a substitution. :

Another cookie from Miss Paula makes the Christmas cookie list! This one is pure and absolute decadence! Easy and lots of fun to make with kids if you can keep them from swiping the kisses. Love it!

I saw this recipe last year and have made them many times since. I do not use pecans or the confectioner' sugar. They have always came out perfectly! Everyone that samples them want the recipe. They have became one of my favorite Christmas cookies!

Mine turned out flat. Butter running all over. I thought I could leave out the nuts. Guess not. I bake quite often and love to experiment. I suppose the nuts hold the dough together. So, moral of the story, this cookie is not for you if you don't like a strong butter flavor and if you want to leave out the pecans. I'm bummed. So much effort and well, a disaster. Lesson learned.
