I will make this but I think I might saute the celery for just a minute or so. Many of you complained about the too crunchy celery. This will maike it less crunchy. I need the celery but not raw tasting in hot things. Sounds so delicious

The only bad thing I can say about this recipe is that it's very hard not to eat all of it in one sitting . . . it's that delectable!

I made this recipe for dinner last night. As I have kidney disease, I have to watch my sodium intake. I made the recipe with no-salt rotisserie chicken, no-salt almonds, Lightly Salted Classic Lays and Light Best Foods Mayonnaise. I did not add the salt called for in the recipe but did use regular sharp cheddar cheese. The meal was absolutely delicious served with Kings Hawaiian Rolls. My husband went back for three servings. Thank you, Paula for introducing me to this simple, tasty recipe!

My entire family loves this one. I know make two dishes; one with broccoli added for myself and the kids and the other without for the hubby.
I prefer to use left over chicken on hand but, in a pinch will quickly cook chicked that has been cut in bite size pieces.

The first time I made this, I doubled it and added more veggies - some red bell pepper and extra additions of celery, etc. I made two casseroles - one for me and my husband and one for a friend in surgery recovery. I used smaller as pans and we all loved it!
I also reserved some raw diced veggies to sprinkle over each serving. Wonderful!
Since then, I make one batch. I agree that a 9 x 13 is too big for this unless you double it. So I do the next size down. And I use leftover baked chicken breasts - cannot stand canned chicken... Also I am a potato chip purist. Lays classic is the ONLY one for me....

I wanted to like this so much.
First - it doesn't make enough for a 9 x 13 dish.
Second - the other reviewers said too much mayo.
Not enough! It was dry.
I'll try it again and hopefully it will be better - used BBQ chips on top, and that tasted good with the chicken.

I have been making this dish for many years. My husband loves Chicken Divine so much so I decided to use part mayo and then part sour cream. I use cheddar but sometimes to just change it up a bit I use shredded Swiss and when I use the swiss cheese I use Sourcream & Chive Potato Chips.....This is such a great dish when you don't have a lot of time.........

I am just beginning to learn how to cook so this casserole was my first! It was super easy and soooo tasty! We loved how the crushed potato chips gave it a crunchy crust. I don't like almonds so I left those out. I also only added about a 1/2 cup of the celery. I thought the cup looked like a lot of celery for this dish. I also added more cheese. This casserole is definitely a keeper!
