I have been making this casserole for 35 years! The only ingredient that is missing (and it's an important one in my opinion is 2 TBS. GRATED onion. The grated onion makes all the difference in the world. Try it!!

I have been making hot chicken salad for about 5 years after having had it at a luncheon. Try it with barbecue potato chips......it is great. As always, love your shows. Thanks for your great recipes and keeping us entertained.

I followed this recipe to a "T" and it came out bland. It looked great coming out of the oven all gooy and cheesy but really let you down in the taste. My husband said it wouldn't hurt his feelings if I didn't make it again. Sorry Paula, not a big score with this one at my home.

This has a good flavor but is very greasy. Will definitely make again but I will use less mayonnaise and reduced fat potato chips.

My family loves this recipe. It's good hot or cold, alone or on a sandwich. I do less salt than she recommends (only 1/4 tsp.

    Ahh-mazing!
My Mother in law made this for my family and we loved it so much, we got the recipe and made it 2 more times in 1 month! I love the crunch the chips add. The flavor is just delicious!!

I'm not a fan of chicken salad, but this was awesome! I made some changes which for me turned out fantastic.
I sub'd mayo for lite mayo and reduced to 2/3 c. I sub'd grated sharp cheddar with 2% shredded cheddar to lighten it up a bit.

My husband loves hot chicken sandwiches. So, he put this Hot Chicken Salad on a hamburger bun. Also, love the sharpness of the lemon - great adder.

i got this recipe from her cookbook..which said you can use rotisserie chicken..so i omitted the salt since i used that instead of the plain chicken breast.

i can't imagine how greasy the dish would be if i used the amount paula suggested. i only used 1/4 c. mayonnaise and that was enough.

you can serve this recipe cold or hot...i thought it's odd just to eat it alone..so i served it as a hot chicken salad sandwich..
